Sit with Sadness – then let go

As the year draws to a close, it is important to prepare the stuff we’d like to leave behind. In the glow of the spirit of this season, feel the presence of light as you go into this journey. Call upon your spirit guides, angels, devas, or whichever higher energies you believe in, light a candle if you like, be out in nature, read on….

For just a while today dear one do not ignore your sadness,
With your smile essence sit with Sadness and hear her lament
When you sit with her, she will ask you to embrace her – just look at her with compassion, and she will be still
For a while.

Smile is your essence and all emotions are in smile
Light is your source, and all colors are in light

For just a while now, dear one,
Listen to the Sadness, give her your full attention,
Let her speak, let her cry, let her lament, even grumble
Just allow her for this moment, to be just what she is:
The cry of love lost or never found, the voice of opportunities dropped

Light is your source, and all colors are in light

When she has spoken and spoken, with voice faltering or discordant, you may find that her family is peeping in: Depression or Despair, Agony, Anger, Hopelessness, Hatred.
Be aware that Sadness may have called her twins towards her, so what you sense is not just your sadness, but the sadness of near and dear ones. We are all empathic, and if we are unaware of this, the feelings of sadness can overwhelm us.
Now, show Sadness and her cousins the immense space within you, the all-embracing space of the Smile Being and she will soon be still, lost in the comfort of your embrace, the vibrancy of your presence, the reality of your being.
Then you can speak.

Ask Sadness to sing her song every day, with voice strong and clear, for her song is not long, and cannot survive the fragrant breezes of love
The tones of her voice will lift from lament to something abiding deep, nestling, embracing stillness, silence.
The song of sadness is in the smile. Sadness Must Intone Lament Everyday. If she is suppressed, depression results. If she is expressed, she is content and her twin brother, happiness, can manifest.

Often, in our journeys to wholeness, we are worried about feeling sad. We feel it goes against spirituality, against nature, against everything that is good. This does not help to dispel sadness. Thoughts are powerful and help to define our circumstances. It is not our circumstances or those of our near and dear ones that sadden us, but our thinking about them.So think a thought that can help.

With the wisdom of these words, prepare to let go of sadness. Say an affirmation. Here’s one:

I will wipe the dream fears of disease, sadness, and ignorance from the soul’s face of silence, with the veil of Divine Mother’s peace.~ Parahmhansa Yogananda

If the sadness is strong, laughter yoga can help to clear it.

If the sadness is deeply hidden, pranayama can help.

Breathe out, one long cleansing breath. With the next three breaths, breathe in deeply, hold for a count of four, then breathe out. Affirm with breath:
I breathe in light from the heart of Mother Earth, feel it bringing life to the stagnant places of my being, and breathe out sadness
I breathe in light from the Soul of Mother Earth,feel it infusing my being with love, and breathe out pain
I breathe in light from Mother Earth and all beings, am one with it, and breathe out light

Every day, in the second half of any hour, let go, forgive, be free of sadness. In the first half of any hour, receive love, radiate love. You will contribute to the growing Hourly Universal Global Sync for the benefit of the whole world.
