Give Gratitude for YourSelf

What do you admire about yourself?  For a moment, let go of the apprehension that it is egotistic to admire yourself. All those limiting words that bind you – don’t get a big head, don’t think you are too great, nothing is yours, you are nothing....just let them go. For this moment.

Breathing in fresh air, honor the aspects of yourself that you feel are admirable.  Feel gratitude for them as you feel grateful for others in your life. Let the feeling from that swirl all around your consciousness.

Now breathe it out. Let it go. It is a gift to the universe.

Take another breath. Facing a mirror, gaze into your eyes – those fabled windows of the soul –  and feel grateful.  Smile. Then see that smiling gratitude reflected in the eyes of the people who are your friends, relatives, and others whom you encounter.

Breathe in. Reflect on the gift of your daily actions to the energy of the world. To the manner in which the thoughts you send out help and spread love. To the intentions for the good of all that pour out of you.

In that stillness that descends upon you,  see the shining light of Self within. Sense the energy of gratitude dissolving all barriers. Giver and receiver both together form a pattern of generosity. Admirer and admired form an environment of growth.

We can be free of the illusion of ego. There is no separation. In admiring yourself you are admiring  Self.
